01
Check the catalog
Review product titles, images, prices and variants. Make sure options are understandable and that each image matches the item being sold. Check availability and remove test products from public collections. If a product needs measurements, materials or care information, put that information where customers can find it.
02
Review collections and navigation
Browse the store as a new customer. Collection names should make sense without internal company knowledge. Check the main menu, links between related products and the route back to a category. On mobile, confirm that the menu and product options are comfortable to use.
03
Complete delivery and policy information
Make delivery costs, expected handling arrangements and return information easy to locate. The published wording needs to match how your business actually operates. Review the contact route and any important limitations before the first order.
04
Test the purchase journey
Follow the available test process for your configured payment provider and account. Review product selection, cart changes, discounts where used, shipping options and order confirmation. A test should also confirm that your team understands where the order appears and what happens next. Do not assume that a visually finished checkout means all operational settings are correct.
05
Review mobile pages and images
Check product text, image crops, collection pages and form fields at smaller screen sizes. Avoid uploading a large original image when a smaller asset will provide the required detail. Preserve product clarity while reducing unnecessary transfer size.
06
Prepare your team
Agree who manages new orders, enquiries, stock changes and product updates. Document the settings and subscriptions involved in the store. Keep ownership and billing clear for themes, apps and other services.
07
Plan the first review
After launch, review actual customer questions and the available store data. Improve confusing information before adding more features. If you need help preparing the storefront, explore Atomic Web's Shopify design and development service.
